Creative Workforce for the Future - How to get involved as a SME
We know that the most innovative work happens in teams that are inclusive to talented people from a diverse range of backgrounds. This is increasingly recognised by the companies that we work with, who are keen to overcome the structural barriers that exist in order to recruit exceptional people from groups that are currently underrepresented in the creative industries. This can be a complex challenge that requires support on all sides to build new networks, change working cultures and develop new skills.
- Do you want to connect to the best creative talent in the region?
- Do you need access to professional advice about inclusive recruitment and retainment?
- Could you host a paid placement for a young person ready to enter the workforce?
Welcome to the Creative Workforce for the Future programme
Our mission is to make the creative industries as diverse as the society in which we live. We aim to do this by creating and fostering inclusive work environments to support our brightest and best young creative talent in the cultural and creative industries.
We are looking to work with approximately 40 media companies in the West of England. We will work with you to co-design a light touch programme that will prepare your team for engaging with the next generation of creative employees. You will build a network of other companies asking similar questions, learn about best practice in the sector, access training and development opportunities for your team and connect to emerging diverse talent.
Where skills and opportunity match there will be the potential for you to host a placement from one of our cohort of young people to work on an area of interest to your business.
We are still open to invite new businesses into the programme, so if you are a creative SME based in the West of England and looking to invest in inclusion practices for your business, please email us for a conversation: email@example.com
